Introducing dive buddies

Diving is better with friends. And until now, Divebase remembered every dive but not the people you shared it with. That changes today: you can record the buddies you dived with, right inside the app. Open any dive and you'll find a new People tab where you add whoever was in the water with you, the same way you already attach equipment.

Everyone you add lands in a new Buddies section, now in the left sidebar. It's an address book of every diver you've logged a dive with: search it, sort it, and read each buddy's details at a glance.

Each buddy carries a dive count. Click it to jump straight to your logbook, filtered down to the dives the two of you shared.

Open a buddy to see and edit the rest: their certification and agency, the language they speak, how to reach them, and any notes you want to keep.

Tag your buddies as you log, and your logbook starts to remember not just where you dived, but who with. As always, dive safe! 🤿
