Is the free plan really free during beta?
Yes, it is. During beta the Surface plan is the whole app: every dive, trips, equipment, imports, sync, the lot. There could be some fair limitations exclusively to cap costs.
If the free plan does everything, why become a Supporter?
Straight answer: right now, not for extra features. Supporter is the same app as Free today. What it buys you is a direct line to the developer, a vote on the roadmap, and your early-adopter price locked in for good.
What's the supporters' channel?
A private Telegram channel where supporters talk directly to me, the person building Divebase. Ask questions, flag what's broken, and help decide what gets built next. It's the closest thing to sitting next to the developer, and it's the headline reason to support during beta.
What happens when the full paid plans launch?
The full multi-tier plans will be released after the initial launch. When they land, today's supporters are grandfathered at today's price. We're still polishing the details, but we'll make sure to reward you for your early support.
Can I cancel anytime?
Any time. No retention maze, no "call us to cancel." Drop back to Free and your logbook stays exactly as it is. And because there's an open API, your dives are never held hostage.
